Our client, a leading global CRO, is seeking an experienced Principal Biostatistician to join a dedicated FSP team, supporting real-world evidence, pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research, and non-interventional study programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior statistician with strong real-world data experience to work across impactful studies using electronic health records, claims data, registries, and other real-world data sources. You will provide statistical leadership across non-interventional studies, safety and comparative effectiveness research, and pharmacoepidemiology projects, partnering closely with clients, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
This position can be home-based across Europe, including Spain, UK, Poland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.

What you will be doing:
- Lead statistical activities across real-world evidence, pharmacoepidemiology, and non-interventional studies
- Contribute to and review protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports
- Scope, design, and deliver analyses using real-world data sources including EHR, claims, and registries
- Apply pharmacoepidemiologic methods to safety and comparative effectiveness research
- Provide statistical leadership and scientific input to cross-functional teams and clients
What you will need:
- MSc or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related discipline
- 9+ years' biostatistics experience with an MSc, or 7+ years with a PhD
- Strong experience in real-world evidence, pharmacoepidemiology, and non-interventional study methodology
- Proven expertise working with real-world data sources including EHR, claims, and registries
- Strong R programming skills (essential)
- Experience authoring and reviewing protocols and Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
- Solid understanding of biases associated with claims data (particularly US claims) and EHR analyses
- Experience with study designs such as cohort, self-controlled, and target trial emulation studies
- Knowledge of analytical methods including propensity scores, clone-censor-weighting, and time-to-event analyses
- Vaccines and/or infectious disease experience would be advantageous
