Director Biostatistics (Global statistical lead)

We're partnered with a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical company in search of a Director Biostatistics to drive strategic leadership in statistical science across the full drug development lifecycle, from early clinical research through to regulatory submission and post-marketing evidence generation. The environment is highly collaborative and cross-functional, involving coordination across clinical development, medical affairs, real-world evidence (RWE), biomarkers, and safety functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the senior statistical lead within cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders on fit-for-purpose methodologies and decision frameworks.
• Lead statistical input to global regulatory interactions, including briefing packages, meeting support, and health authority responses.
• Design or oversee advanced analyses, simulations, and methodological development as required.
• Mentor and develop statisticians, promoting best practices, innovation, and strategic thinking.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• PhD (or MSc with equivalent experience) in Biostatistics or Statistics.
• Experience with complex oncology designs (e.g., basket/umbrella trials, tumour-agnostic strategies), adaptive designs, and indirect comparisons.
• Familiarity with Bayesian methods, external controls, and AI/ML applications in clinical development.
