Warman O'Brien is partnering with an innovative early-stage biotechnology company advancing a first-in-class cardiovascular biologic towards IND and first-in-human studies.

The company is entering a pivotal stage of growth, with IND-enabling activities underway and plans to transition into the clinic following its next financing round. They are seeking a fractional Chief Medical Officer, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent CMO role as the business evolves.

Role focus:

• Lead clinical development strategy through IND and Phase I.
• Provide medical leadership across regulatory, clinical and corporate activities.
• Partner closely with the CEO, Board and scientific founders.
• Support investor interactions and external scientific engagement.

Candidate profile:

• MD with board certification in Cardiology.
• Significant clinical development leadership experience within biotech/pharma.
• Experience leading INDs and early-stage cardiovascular programs.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable in a lean biotech environment.
