Our client is a leading global CRO partnering with top pharmaceutical organisations to accelerate the development of innovative therapies. Due to continued growth within a dedicated FSP, they are seeking an experienced Biomarker Lead Statistician to join their Biometrics team.
This is a fully home-based opportunity available across the UK, Poland, Hungary and Romania (preferred), with consideration also given to candidates based in Belgium, Germany and France.
The successful candidate will lead biomarker statistical activities across clinical development programmes, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analyses and strategic statistical input throughout the drug development lifecycle.

The successful candidate will lead biomarker statistical activities across clinical development programmes, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality analyses and strategic statistical input throughout the drug development lifecycle.
What you will be doing:
- Acting as Lead Statistician for biomarker-focused clinical studies from design through to reporting
- Developing Biomarker Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and leading biomarker deliverables for Clinical Study Reports (CSRs)
- Conducting and overseeing biomarker exploratory analyses and interpretation of results
- Providing statistical input into study design, protocol development, CRF design and data review activities
- Reviewing randomisation specifications and supporting statistical methodology discussions
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including Clinical Development, Data Management and Statistical Programming
- Ensuring compliance with CDISC standards and regulatory requirements
- Supporting client interactions and providing biomarker statistical expertise across multiple projects
What you will need:
- MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related quantitative discipline
- Minimum 6 years' industry experience as a Biostatistician within a pharmaceutical company, biotech or CRO environment
- Extensive biomarker experience, with at least the most recent 2 years focused primarily on biomarker analyses
- Strong understanding of clinical trial methodology and drug development processes
- Experience developing Statistical Analysis Plans and leading statistical analyses for clinical studies
- CDISC and SDTM experience is mandatory
- Proficiency in SAS, R and/or Python
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a client-facing environment
