Job Overview: Who are they?

 

 

A world renowned, global pharmaceutical company are currently searching for a Statistical Project Leader to join their successful study delivery team. As a Statistical Project Leader, you will join one of the largest, award winning and innovative Biostatistics departments and will be given access to cutting-edge in-house technology.

 

What you will be doing

 

As Statistical Project Leader in Early Clinical development, you will provide leadership and guidance on one or more projects, being accountable for all methodological and statistical aspects. You will act as a statistical consultant within the company.

You will be supported by a Biostatistics and Programming Department that fosters people development, offering compelling career opportunities that value diversity of thought and abilities, to optimize overall success and have a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.

 

 

Main Activities:

 

  • Be a key driver of international project teams to contribute to the early development (in terms of decision-making strategy, project management, submission dossier)
  • Develop productive collaboration with other functions in the aligned study/project teams, with other statistics project leaders and in communicating with senior leadership
  • Provide/develop statistical expertise within the team, department or cross-functions (i.e. pharmacology, pharmacokinetics or biomarker teams)
  • Proactively make proposals to improve study designs, analyses and, more broadly, the efficiency and effectiveness of the department through continuous bibliographic monitoring
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff
  • Represent statistics to participate (and lead if applicable) in scientific or technical working groups or cross function initiatives. Contribute to operation process optimization and provide inputs to statistics standard

 

 

What can you bring to the table?

 

  • Experience: PhD/MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 6 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Soft skills: Demonstrated strong project/study management, interpersonal and communication skills; strong capacity for anticipation, organization and coordination; leadership, including supervision of contractors; ability to work as a team player and interact with all stakeholders
  • Technical skills: Broad knowledge and good understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques, including Bayesian techniques. Ability to propose and promote innovation in clinical development plans and analyses. Broad knowledge of pharmaceutical clinical development
  • Education: PhD/Master of Sciences in statistics or related discipline
  • Languages: Fluency in English

 

This is a Hybrid position that can be based out of the UK and Europe.
