Senior Scientific Associate | Analytical Development & Quality Control

Location: Switzerland
Start Date: ASAP (12 month contract)
Up to CHF 61.01/hour

A global, innovative biopharmaceutical company are seeking a highly inquisitive, passionate, and driven Senior Scientific Associate to contribute to early development stages in their Analytical Development and Quality Control department.

What will you be doing?
  • Your primary responsibility will be the development, assessment, optimization, verification and conduct of analytical methods for a broad range of techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, GC, HR-MS, IC, NMR, FT-IR.
  • Conducting various analyses including release, retest, stability, and transfer.
  • Protocol and report writing and documentation.
  • Maintaining and operating analytical equipment.
  • Planning and executing experiments, including forced degradation studies.
  • Interpreting and documenting analytical data and activities.
  • Drafting CoAs, Analytical results sheet, and SOPs.
  • Training laboratory personnel and ensuring laboratory cleanliness.
  • Independently designing and executing projects.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration.

What do you bring to the table?
  • Graduate degree in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or related degree.
  • Extensive demonstrable industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of sample preparation and analytical instrumentation techniques (e.g. chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy).
  • English (advanced).
