Warman O’Brien are proud to partner with a leading global CRO to appoint a Senior Director, Medical Strategy – Pulmonology / Respiratory.

This is a senior, externally facing role supporting pharma and biotech sponsors through clinical strategy and trial design across respiratory and pulmonary programs. The position is fully remote (USA).

Role focus:

• Lead and justify clinical development strategy and study design for respiratory and pulmonary trials
• Play a key role in bid defence meetings, explaining design rationale to sponsors
• Provide senior medical oversight and strategic input across multiple programs
• Advise on endpoints, feasibility, patient populations, and site strategy

Candidate profile:

• MD with board certification in Pulmonology (essential)
• 5+ years’ experience in clinical development (CRO or sponsor)
• Comfortable in sponsor-facing, consultative roles
• Able to work across multiple studies in parallel
