Principal Statistician Contractor | Respiratory & Immunology | Europe

We are partnering with a global pharmaceutical organisation to appoint an experienced Principal Statistician Contractor to support their Respiratory & Immunology portfolio.

This is a senior-level role requiring a statistician who can provide both strategic and hands-on statistical leadership across clinical development programmes. You will work closely with clinical, programming, data management, and regulatory teams, leading statistical activities from study design through to analysis, interpretation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead statistical input into protocol development, study design, sample size calculations, randomisation, and Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs)
  • Provide statistical oversight across multiple clinical studies, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables
  • Review and interpret study results, including tables, listings, and figures (TLFs), supporting study readouts and decision-making
  • Drive the development and review of clinical study reports and regulatory submission documents
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/CROs, providing oversight where required
  • Advise on statistical methodology and analysis strategies throughout the study lifecycle
  • Mentor junior statisticians and contribute to best practice across projects

Requirements:
  • MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field
  • Significant experience within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry
  • Strong therapeutic area experience within Respiratory and/or Immunology
  • Previous experience operating at Principal or Lead Statistician level
  • Strong SAS programming skills and working knowledge of R
  • Experience supporting regulatory submissions and interactions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Immediate availability or up to 1 months’ notice
