Lead Application Engineer - Global Clinical Supply Chain (Manufacturing Systems)

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Application Engineer to take ownership of essential Clinical Supply Chain systems that support manufacturing and global trial operations. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that investigational medicines reach patients safely, efficiently, and reliably. What You Will Do

  • Own and manage key Clinical Supply Chain systems (e.g., forecasting, inventory management, temperature excursion tracking, Smart Supplies platforms).
  • Ensure smooth system integration across global data sources and supply chain solutions.
  • Provide hands-on support to users worldwide and serve as the first point of contact for system-related issues.
  • Lead system enhancements, upgrades, and vendor collaborations.
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and user experience.
  • Support monthly and yearly operational activities tied to clinical supply processes.
  • Deliver training and enable best practices across global teams.
  • Maintain validated system status in line with GxP and internal quality standards.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as the subject matter expert.
  • Collaborate with digital, engineering, and business teams to advance the Scientific IT environment and CI/CD practices.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Strong analytical abilities and comfort working with complex data (SQL, Fivetran, Databricks, API tools such as Postman).
  • Experience in Scientific IT within pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of clinical supply chain systems and databases (Oracle, Smart Supplies, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GxP systems and the System Life Cycle (SLC) validation process.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and using Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, collaborative environment.
  • Experience writing user stories, assessing impacts, and supporting technical upgrades.
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills.
  • University degree.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Qlik Sense or Power BI.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused solutions.
