World leading CRO recently awarded Best Employer have a new opportunity for a Senior Statistical Programmer to join them on their FSP Team. As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you will be responsible for providing programming leadership for high complexity studies including effective resource planning, work allocation and progress tracking to ensure project timelines and quality targets are consistently achieved.
In this client facing role, you will be responsible for writing programming specifications and the development/QC of statistical programs and applying extensive domain and therapeutic knowledge in the programming of datasets, tables, figures and listings to ensure quality and accuracy.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Statistical Programmer looking to join an expanding team across Europe. This is a fully home-based opportunity based in France.
What you will be doing:
- Be assigned to a dedicated FSP Client.
- Build utilities in support of programming tasks, design new tools or review existing tools and improve where needed.
- Create document and validate macros at TLF levels.
- Automate programming tasks within the SAS environment.
- Support the development of data repositories, pooling multiple studies.
- Develop, review, document and perform validation of SAS programs and macros.
- Develop, validate and document programs for ad-hoc analyses.
- Create and validate listing, safety and efficacy outputs (analysis datasets, tables, figures) to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Assess the time needed to develop programs and can self-manage the work.
- Take responsibility to deliver a support in time in function of stakeholders needs.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science/analytics, or other relevant scientific.
- Minimum of 5 years Statistical Programming experience.
- Excellent knowledge of SAS essential and other programming languages i.e., R advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of data structures e.g. CDISC, SDTM, ADaM, software development lifecycle and their implementation.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with CDISC standards.
- Knowledge of ICH-GCP and other applicable legislation, with good understanding of clinical data and pharmaceutical development.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive nature and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Ability to demonstrate leadership in development of general-purpose tools.
- Creative mindset, able to bring new ideas and perform well when given creative freedom.
