An experienced Clinical Project Scientist is required to join a Swiss Pharmaceutical company on an initial 12 month contract. Working on a hybrid basis with offices located near Basel, the successful candidate will have comprehensive industry experience of managing all aspects of Phase II & III studies from a scientific perspective.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates closely with the Clinical Project Physician (CPP) on relevant project/program-related activities
  • Develops an excellent understanding of the science and medicine related to one or more indications and performs literature searches as needed to keep knowledge up to date and for specific project/program needs
  • Contacts clinical experts, organizes and contributes to expert meetings

Candidate Requirements:

  • PhD, Pharm D, MSc or equivalent university degree in life or health sciences
  • Extensive experience in a contract research organization (CRO) or pharmaceutical company in all aspects of the planning, setting up, conducting, closing, and reporting of phase II and III clinical studies from a scientific perspective.
  • Previous leadership in independently authoring clinical study protocols, ICFs, scientific trial-related documents (e.g., study committee charters, CSR).
  • Previous scientific contribution to cross-functional trial documents (e.g., SAP), guidelines, CRFs.
  • Solid experience with data review/medical monitoring.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and contribute to scientific discussions with external experts.
  • Good understanding of cross-functional clinical trial team roles, responsibilities, processes, and deliverables.
  • Sound knowledge of the drug development process, trial-related regulatory requirements/ICH GCP guidelines.
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
