Business Intelligence Engineer

• 6 month contract
• Location: Belgium (Wavre) - one day on site per week mandatory
• 280 EUR per day
• Highly reputable management consulting firm, large pharmaceutical end client
• ASAP start

Responsibilities:

Design and develop advanced reports and data visualization/business intelligence dashboards in Power BI

Perform the necessary data transformations within the Microsoft Azure environment using Databricks

Collaborate with business partners to understand the business case and lead the design, iterative development and deployment of data visualization solutions

Must have requirements:

Very good knowledge and experience in Power BI

Analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyze large datasets and draw appropriate conclusions, being able to visualize and present these in a clear, coherent and easily understandable format

Very good knowledge of Python, PySpark and SQL for data transformations

Willingness to learn basics of Microsoft Azure and Github, to be able to deploy developed solutions.

Fluent English

At least Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field - Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Nice to have/preferred requirements

Power BI and Databricks certificates

Knowledge of ETL processes

Experience in working in Microsoft Azure

Experience in performing data transformations in Databricks

Experience in natural sciences or related field

The following will be an additional advantage:

Experience/ knowledge of Azure Data Factory and ETL processes

Knowledge of DevOps methodologies

Knowledge and/or experience with using or building CI/CD tools
